Linda Goff

April 4 – 16, 1980

Linda Goff was born in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1952, and died in Olympia, Washington in 2003. Throughout her life she worked with a variety of media, including drawing, painting, printmaking, metal work, sculpting, photography, videography, and mixed media, much of it marked by a sense of humor that ranged from the slapstick to the wry. She disdained snobbery and adopted any material that would serve her purposes. Later in her career she travelled the country, teaching workshops and encouraging other artists. When she wasn’t making art she loved playing samba music with Samba Olywa, cross country skiing, and summer vacations with her extended family.
