What do you see
Her images appear silent, fragile on rectangular sheets of Rice-Paper. I imagine the Rice-Paper is a link to Jungjin’s Home.
Now, In America she perseveres with her vision. Often sad and solitary. Scars appear – darkness covers Memory, the clouds make grey light. Again and again I look at Jungjin’s images, they invoke in me the fading away of a song, melody is there – the words almost gone…. Her ‘Landscapes’ go from Close-up to Infinity. But always the images are born from the inside of her heart, her eyes complete the journey.
The sole of a shoe turned away from the ground in the middle of nowhere. A package, returned, opened, or from another world. Memory of horizon between sea and happiness. Torn and hurt a tree awaits his fate, A lifeline clinging to a wall, to a building in a city, maybe a city without windows. The familiar metal-railing in the middle of nowhere. Exposed roots, waiting for the night – Jungjin is able to cast her shadow over her images.
Hello Jungjin – I like your shadow.
