Tom Jimison

December 4 – 27, 2003

Artist In his series, “Vanishing Structures of Tennessee and the American South” Tom Jimison documents rural, southern small town facades, churches and other structures unique to this part of the United States. Exploring the design of light and texture, and the relationship between shape and space, Jimison’s images capture the essence of a vanishing part of the American vernacular. He writes, “These images serve to document the unique architectural style, flavor and character of Tennessee, at a time when interesting, old structures are being rapidly demolished in the name of progress.”

It’s our intention to make a good web page for each of the thousand shows that we’ve had but we couldn’t find everybody.
If you are this photographer or know how to contact them, please get in touch.
